"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" - Philippians 4:6-7
Prayer Requests:
The Walker family
The Walker family is dealing with the recent, unexpected loss of Dan. Let's pray for healing, comfort, and strength.
Dean, Suzanne, Ted, Ryan, Kyle: There's nothing I can say or do that will mend your hearts. Just know that I love you and my heart aches for you. You do not have to bear this pain alone. I pray that you seek God and allow Him to guide you with His light and love through this disorienting darkness.
Ryan
I wanted to add a prayer request to my page for Ryan's physical ailments. Ryan and I know that we are called to missions, but we need a miracle. We are trusting that God will heal Ryan's body, so that he can work on the mission field, away from doctors for extended periods of time.
I was hoping that he would write this himself, because I wasn't sure how open he'd want me to be about it.
"Blow the doors off," he said.
So here we go.
Ryan has been beat up in a couple of serious traffic accidents, and the trauma triggered a condition known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). RSD is a chronic, painful, and progressive neurological condition which can be crippling. Ryan's most prevalent symptom is constant, intense, burning pain. The pain and inflammation causes his muscles to spasm and tighten, pushing his ribs and vertebrae out of place and compounding the problem. Ryan sees a therapist twice a week to work everything back into place.
In addition to the physical distress, Ryan must battle the insurance companies, because they don't feel like paying the medical bills. In the meantime, the paper piles stack higher and higher...
We know there's light somewhere at the end of this tunnel. It can be stressful, draining, and worrying, but we know that God has this all under control. We know that His plan, though not transparent, is perfect.
Please pray for Ryan's physical healing, spiritual growth, and financial mercy.
Recently deployed cohort
A group of long-term volunteers left home in February to begin their language and culture training in Arequipa, Peru. Let's pray for their safety, patience in preparation, eagerness to learn, and acceptance of a whole new culture.
Isaac and Brittany
I met Isaac and Brittany as they were visiting home after living in Sierra
Leon for a year. God’s love exudes from them. They have obediently
realized and followed God’s calling for their lives. They are
passionate about the people there, and God is blessing their
ministry. However, we need to keep them in our prayers. They
are not surrounded by a community of American missionaries,
as I will be. They are working alone. The ministry can
be difficult and frustrating, and the discouragement is amplified the thick, dark, spiritual presence welcomed by witchcraft. We need to pray that Isaac and Brittany do not become
overwhelmed by the darkness, but remain bright lights shining
through.

Patience
I'm so eager and anxious to be volunteering in Peru, and although I know that this preparation period is just as important as my time there, I'm having trouble being patient and using this time as wisely as possible.
Josephina Patrick Anton
Josephina is a six-year-old girl living in Tanzania, Africa. She lives with her mother, father, and three siblings. In the past few years that I've sposored Josephina, I've seen much improvement in her drawing, writing, and counting abilities. Still, she struggles in school. I pray that she continues to grow and develop in school, and more importantly, in Christ.
